I had a wonderful two-night stay at The Drift over Labor Day weekend. I was late to check in due to a delayed flight, and Regina contacted me about my arrival time. She made it very easy for me to check in after hours, giving me a security code, etc., so that I could meet with some friends instead of rushing to check in. The hotel grounds are beautiful and everything you'd want out of a Florida hotel - lush palms, cozy patio area, white walls. The interior of my room (room 3) was incredibly clean. Dark hardwood floors, white bedding, a large fern and a stylish turqouise chair made for a truly boutique experience. I cannot stress enough how CLEAN it was, also ... I felt bad bringing in a speck of sand after I returned from the beach!

If you want to go to the beach, Regina and Al have beach chairs and beach towels for loan. The beach is a half a block away which couldn't be more convenient. There are plenty of restaurants within a few blocks and a CVS nearby for essentials.

Breakfast in the morning was light but of good quality - toast, peanut butter/jam, granola, yogurts, cereals and juice. Plus lots of coffee available all day. The toiletries in the room where ample and they even left a few samples of sunscreen in case you had forgotten.

I loved my stay at the Drift and look forward to another excuse to visit Fort Lauderdale so I can stay there again!
